Autograph letter signed from William Neate to S. Peake, Esq. [manuscript], 1834 July 31 Thursday.

Letter from Neate contains a transcription of a letter from Shakespeare to Sir Thomas Constantine Campbell, Lord Mayor of London, dated November 9, 1609. He writes that he bought the original letter at the Hathaway sale in the City and sold it to Mr. Sheridan [?]. He has since heard that he gave to the Prince of Wales. Recipient's first name begins with "S," but the remainder of the name is illegible.
